Terrestrial insects have a head, containing eyes, mouthparts and antennae, a thorax to which the six legs and in some species four wings are attached (beetles have only two wings, but their wing-cases are modified wings), and an abdomen containing most of the vital organs and sting, if any. The way that this body plan has been modified for Cyeatean species is pretty neat, in my view. Of course, I'm very biased these days.

I absolutely enjoy the responses to the questions. Worldbuilding is always fun.

Question: I seem to recall reading that Cyeatean honeybees have poisonous blood. What's the deal with that?
